Jack

Jumpin’ Jack is a dun Quarter horse mix.  Approximately 15 hands, he was born around 1984.  A rescued horse, Jack was brought to Ryerss Farm in July 2006 by Large Animal Protection Society (LAPS).  One of nine horses rescued from a poorly ran farm, Jumpin’ Jack was so named because he was known to escape his adverse living conditions in search of food by jumping the fence and heading to a cow farm across the road.

Jamaica

Jamaica is a brown Irish Halfbred.  He stands 16.1 hands.  Born in 1980, he fox hunted with the Radnor Hounds for 17 years before retiring to Ryerss in October 2003.  During his career, he never refused to jump a fence.  Today, he spends his time grazing with Sidney.

Jessica

Jiving Jessica is chestnut Thoroughbred and Quarter horse cross.  She stands 15.2 hands.  During her career, Jessica performed at the training level in dressage and performed in eventing.  Born in 1985, Jessica lived with her former owner since she was four years old before retiring to Ryerss Farm in March 2007.  She is friends with Jack.

Judd

Concho Doo is a dark bay Quarter horse.  He stands 16 hands.  Born in Arizona in 1987, Judd’s early career was in team roping.  He later worked as a trail rider, provided lessons and served as a heeling horse.  Judd’s claim to fame is his appearance in the Christmas movie Elf.  During filming of the movie, Judd was voted the most obedient and cooperative horse of the four acting horses.  Judd is always professional, always kind, and always willing.  He retired to Ryerss Farm in July 2007 and spends his days with Chrissy.
